Ready to Ship Fairy Wings Sale Monday Dec. 18 at 8pm PST!

One more little sale before the Xmas holiday, featuring these Pansy fairy wings painted in shades of green with black and purple & fuchsia accents.

These digitally hand painted Pansy fairy wings have been revamped into greens with fuchsia & purple accents, for a colorway I'm calling Absinthe & Amethyst. They will be $479 plus shipping.
All my painted wings now have 2 additional layers of vinyl for extra durability & water resistance, but I can not promise they'd survive being submerged in water.

I will also be listing Aphrodite and Datura fairy wings in repeat colorways. Sale date and time is Monday, Dec. 18 at 8pm Pacific Standard Time. Remember, the listings won't show up until then. Ready to Ship Flash Sale on Tuesday Nov. 21 at 8pm Pacific Time

These painted ‘Absinthe’ Datura wings will be available in a flash sale on Nov. 21 at 8pm PST. Please note though that all orders will be shipped next week after the holiday weekend.

La fee verté! Inspired by the mythical green fairy said to visit those who drink Absinthe liquor, these wings feature my digitally hand painted pattern in brilliant shades of green & gold, with touches of purple in the ‘eye’ spot. The veins are gold. I’ve only offered these before with the foil accents and Swarovski crystals, but they’re pretty stunning on their own without the embellishments as well as a bit more affordable.

As I’ve mentioned recently, I’ve been able to reduce the cost of the painted & printed wings slightly on my end enough to add another clear layer of vinyl over the print for better adhesion to the vinyl on top as well as to make them more durable and water resistant. I still have not tested these under water however, so try that at your own risk and understand they might not survive the dunk. I hope to be able to test it soon.

Next are the Aphrodite fairy wings in Patina Green with silver chrome veins. I have been neglecting this film color, but it is a unique one not easily found elsewhere and it has a softer shine than the others. Sort of the sister film to the Rose Gold which has a similar satin finish instead of super glossy and shiny.

I’ll also have a couple of repeat wings listed. Again, these are all ready to ship but won’t ship out until next week after the holiday weekend as I realized I accidentally got the wrong type of screws & need to re-stock those.

If you are having trouble threading the nuts onto the screws / bolts with the static assembly, and the tip of the bolt is pinched or tapered, you probably have the wrong type! It should be a machine screw with a vertical shaft that’s flat at the end with no tapers, the size is 4/40 and the head type is the pan head. You can usually find these at your local hardware store in the bins where you can pick them individually for maybe 12 cents a piece. I’m trying to email the customers that I think got the wrong hardware before I realized it.

Here's a link to the flash sale page, with a reminder that they won't show up until the start time. https://fancy-fairy-wings-things.myshopify.com/collections/flash-sales

Signs of Spring

The Green Fairy gets gilded for Candlemas!

Datura fairy wing design done in a green fairy palette on the Patina Green film with candy coat gold veins and variegated metal foil on the tips, embellished with Swarovski crystals.

I originally made these steampunk green fairy / absinthe themed wings for myself and wore them just once to the Edwardian Ball just a week ago attached to the flapping wing mechanism.
I’ve decided to let them go however, as I have my tooth extraction surgery coming up this week and money is more practical right now than another set of wings.
Not only am I offering the wings, I’m throwing in the corset too! The corset was not made by me, it was made for me by Melody BB Corsetry back in 2012. I only got to wear it a couple times unfortunately, and since it was made during a time when I was stressed, off of some needed meds and going through some health stuff it was made during a time when I had lost more weight than normal.
Needless to say, I’ve definitely gained it back and I don’t foresee it leaving my body enough to fit into this thing anymore. It’s better off being enjoyed than sitting in my closet forever.

The waist is roughly 24 inches, I think the bust should fit someone with a 36B size. It comes with matching shoulder straps that I had just pinned on, you can see them still attached in the photo below that shows the inside - oh did I mention it’s reversible?! That’s right, the other side is a watercolor purple look and that is the side the busk shows in. I had wanted the green side to have an invisible busk, which I wish more corset makers would offer! So this is really a special one.
Below you can also see a couple photos of me wearing the corset in 2012, and the extra clips that I was wearing back then as well, one on the corset at the hip and one in my hair. They both now have hair clip attachments in back but could still be clipped or pinned to the corset. I can throw those in too.

It could probably use a dry cleaning, there’s a bit of deodorant mark near the armpits that I think will come off. I’m sorry but if I waited for myself to take it to the cleaners it would probably be another year before I got around to it, it just needs to go.

I want to make a donation to a non-profit that’s helping the wildlife in Australia to recover from the bush fires from a percentage of the sale of this set and am seeking out the best one to give to.
I usually sell the gilded and bejeweled wings between $500 - $600 and these will come with the green / purple reversible corset & the two little flower pins shown at the hips as well as the larger hair clips.

I’m trying something different for this set, instead of listing it to my Shopify store I’m going to ask that those interested email me with an offer and I can then send a Shopify invoice to the buyer.

Wings From The Unseelie Court

I've done these Elvina wings in a palette that reminds me of green faeries, absinthe, and the ‘Paris Green’ that actually was toxic and killed people in the Victorian era - it was in their wallpaper, their clothing, everywhere.
It was in fashion due to its bright emerald green that previously was not possible to achieve.

Absinthe & Arsenic - Elvina fairy wings with flocking and AB crystals

It also makes me think of the green wildfire in Game of Thrones, as well as the green flames from Maleficent’s dragon form.
I don’t suggest wearing these in rain, since there is no way to really coat or preserve the flock without ruining the appearance.

There is yet another set of wings available today, also on the unseelie side - the Draconia II wings in Dark Crystal with black veining.

Draconia II wings in Dark Crystal film with black veins

These also give off a Maleficent vibe don’t they? But they were originally inspired by the crystal bats in the original Dark Crystal movie! Not the same design but a slightly similar style.
I’m working on listing them as we speak, so get on over to the shop!
