Do
you ship outside the U.S.?
Yes, although
online orders will not reflect international shipping rates
so you will need to pay an extra charge. You will be sent
a Paypal money request for the extra amount of shipping needed.
Please note that there will most likely be a customs fee charged
by the shipping company when your product is delivered.

What
is your return policy?
Due to
the sometimes seasonal nature of costume items, ready-made
items can only be returned for store credit. Item must be
returned within 7 business days and must be in new, un-worn
condition. If the item arrives damaged, call Fancy Fairy and
UPS immediately to file a damage claim. There are NO RETURNS
ON MADE-TO-ORDER OR CUSTOM wings, except in the case of damage
in transit, in which case a claim must be filed.

What's
the difference between the ready made and made-to-order wings?
Made to
Order wings are completely hand made from start to finish
by Fancy Fairy's Angela Jarman. The wire framework is made
of a very lightweight and posable aluminum wire in varying
thicknesses. The veins are then colored according to your
choice. The framework is then covered in an iridescent film
/ vinyl combination. The top edge is clean, meaning there
is no flashing of the vinyl above the top edge of the wing.
Ready-made wings are cut from aluminum sheet
and then painted, covered with the iridescent film and cut
by Angela. They
are covered with the same iridescent film and vinyl, with
flashing along the top edge - this means that the film extends
about a half inch above the top edge wire. Ready made wings
are still poseable but not quite as much as our made-to-order
versions.

How
are the fairy wings worn?
Our wings
can be worn with the included clear elastic straps, and are
meant to be worn under a layer of clothing. Because of the
shape, they can also be slipped into a bodice or bra strap
without the straps.

Can
I have a custom color or design made?
Yes, we
can design custom wings! Your custom wings can actually have
combinations of colors and can be made according to the design
you come up with (within the material's limitations of course).
Price will vary according to size and complexity, so please
contact us to order a custom pair.

Can
I alter my wings?
Yes, you
can! If you want to add some holes or tatter the edges, all
you need is some imagination, a pair of scissors or a stencil
cutter. Stencil cutters look a lot like souldering tools and
use heat, but the tip is pointed. Please, only try this if
you are an adult, as the tool gets very hot! Another trick
is to use a lit incense stick to add holes to the wings. Use
adequate ventillation when either of these methods is used.

How
do I care for my wings?
If your
wings get dirty, simply wipe them with a damp cloth. A mild
cleaner can be used if it's a stubborn spot. DO NOT submerge
your wings in water! The material is water-resistant but not
waterproof!
If your
wings get a bit out of shape, simply shape the wires back
into place. If the membrane has gotten wrinkled, you can use
a hairdryer or a heat gun on a low setting, and carefully
heat the film. Don't let the heat gun get too close or keep
it near the film for too long or you may singe it beyond repair.
Once you've heated it simply smooth them out while wearing
a heat protective glove (an oven mitt works fine!)
If possible,
store your wings flat. Be frugal when posing them, too much
constant bending may eventually weaken the seal of film near
the base of the wings, and if they are the cut aluminum wings, they may snap with too much bending.
